In my area there is Sprint and Verizon. I have and use both. Speeds are comparable with both but I give the edge on lower latency (ping) to Verizon. Depending on coverage in your area either one is a great alternative to satellite (been there - done that), and have the bonus of being mobile with coast to coast coverage. If there is no other broadband available in your area (DSl, Cable, Fios, Wisp), and internet service is important to you, then give it serious consideration. Read the forum posts, check the coverage maps, and make your choice.
