    The other broadband option in town is slow DSL from Phone Company. No thanks.

    We had a hail storm in May; everyone in the neighborhood had issues. They couldn’t get us back up for a week to 10 days. I was forced to convert over to my backup 'freebie' dialup ISP in order to get my work done since I freelance. Had to go to the in-laws once that week. Finally 2 different techs came at 2 different times and contradicted each other, finally running a new line from box in the yard over to the main line connection at the street. Unfortunately they just left it lying on the ground saying “as outsourcers we are not allowed to bury the cable. The company must send one of their own after pulling permits from the county, etc”. Then they company tells us just the opposite. Here it is in December and still no buried cable. No ones even been here or called.

    Regardless everything went back to normal after I reset and re-setup my router. Their service ran great for quite some time (triple play package - Phone and cable TV as well, and those always work well, just the internet sucks), and now it’s back to the same old crappy signal again. Trying to watch a video on the local news channel requires you to click on it, then stop the video player and wait for the file to download enough to actually watch it without it stopping mid way. Sigh…guess its back to making some phone calls.

    Update....contacted them again about slow speeds and losing connection. They sent a company tech out to bury the cable but left no note on the door (we were gone) about what they had done. They pulled an old cable out of the ground that wasn’t even being used. They one that needed buried was not touched and no reason why was given. This all took place some time in May of 2008. I had fixed the speed and connection issue myself long before they got here, so at this point i won’t be calling them any more since they can’t seem to get it done. Several calls and 1 year later, I’m done.....period.......really don’t care anymore at this point.
