Late January Callcentric added several new advanced features. The following new feature is very useful, actually more useful than most people can imagine:
Phone Book Groups
You can now configure contacts within your Callcentric Phone Book to be within a group. For example you might create a group named "Family" which includes all members of your family. Phone Book groups can be used to control Call Treatments...
Phone Book Groups is a powerful tool together with Call Treatments. You can decide how different groups of callers should be routed depending on things like the time of the day. No need to get business calls late in the evening.
Before Callcentric introduced this useful feature I have only seen one other provider using the same feature. As I have had a good experience using Phone Book Groups with that other provider I am very happy Callcentric now also has this useful feature.
For some time I have ben using a hosted PBX with Callcentric and it works very well. I use SIP URI routing to my PBX as the main DID routing option and it works like a charm.
I have been using Callcentric for almost 3 years now. As I live in Europe my experience with Callcentric may not be the same as for a customer living in North America.
At the moment I have DIDs in Denmark and iNum with Callcentric. Earlier I have also had DIDs in USA, UK, Ireland, Sweden and Brazil with Callcentric.
Callcentric is very good at assigning "easy to remember" numbers when ordering DIDs. Every DID I have purchased from Callcentric had a number very easy to remember.
The quality on calls to/from North and South America is excellent. The quality on inbound calls from Europe is good but the noticeable delay is sometimes annoying. However the quality on outbound calls from Europe to European PSTN numbers is not so good.
The quality on free inbound and outbound calls between Callcentric customers in Europe using 1777xxxxxxx numbers is very good and there is no noticeable delay.
Callcentric Phone Book entries replacing incoming Caller ID is a wonderful feature you get addicted to.
Callcentric could be a good choice for European customers if they could use better carriers in Europe and also have servers in Europe. As it is now Callcentric can't be recommended for use to/from European PSTN numbers for European customers. However for calls to/from North and South America Callcentric is an excellent choice for European customers.
