I have had this ISP for approximately 2 years. Its been an up and down ride. I have to say it does beat the crap out of USA/SUDDENLINK (CABLE), as far as working better.
Right now from what I understand, they're working on getting a better speed and fixing the latency by adding Fiber to the CO which less is then a 1/4 mile away. We will see what happens?
Update: 09/15/2007
The Internet was down for 3 days over the 7, 8, 9, weekend, no support or help. Had to wait until monday the 17th to get assistance!
This week end 14,15,16, the down load speeds were rediculous and had very bad connections to on-line gaming. You would think the ISP would make sure the problems were fixed after being down on the above dates. What a pain!

Well, this ISP is now named, SABASTIAN TELEPHONE CO. So far its been a bit up and down. Especially during the weekends. Download is bad. For on-line gaming its bad. The worst are the weekends. By the way their so-called "Tech support", is the old pass the buck support. I feel for the people answering the phones, its like duh, I have to pass to a level 10000 tech person. I can't answer your question or resolve your problem. Which means your dead for the weekend as far as playing on-lines games.
I just hope it they get it together for every one!

Well, if your planning to play on games here in Foresthill, forget it, they throttle you way back. I was told that because there wasn't enough gamers up here that they will throttle you back. Thanks for the late warning Sabastian Telephone co. Again, another ISP with lies. I was told I would get all the bandwidth I need to play on-line. LIES! I'll be moving from here soon and I'll not use this ISP again unless they GAURANTEE me in writing to give me the right bandwidth, if not I just don't need them. So, buyer beware. Make sure they tell you they can give you the bandwidth for gaming on-line. If you just like to pay bills or surf the Web, sure that is fine, but this ISP is not consistant with what they advertise. Good luck.
UPDATE: 11/02/2008
No longer in Foresthill and not using DSL. I am down in Auburn and using cable and what a big difference. WAVE is great, fast, and smooth. Just hope it stays that way.
