I have had various DSL providers before moving to the country where low speed telephone lines and satellite are my only options.

After ditching Hughes for Wildblue, I subscribed to Millenicom.com and I never looked back even though I still maintain Wildblue. Unfortunately Sprint hasn't pushed EVDO to my area, so with my Pantech card I can only connect at the low EDGE speed from home.

When traveling , and I travel quite often on business, is quite a different story. My Sprint connection has been good so far in every airport I landed and in any location I visited, with download speed at least around 900Kbps, but often better, much better than most hotels or WiFi hotspot can provide.

At home I use mostly Wildblue, but Millenicom.com is my always reliable backup when bad weather knocks the sat down.

I couldn't be happier considering that I can cancel the service whenever I want and I am only responsible for 1 month of service, at worst.

So far no other service beats Sprint/Millenicom.com, I think I would keep it even if FIOS would become available here (keep dreaming). Once you get used to taking your laptop and your Internet connection with you anywhere you go, it's hard to go back.
