I had a voip.ms DID and I was very happy with it. I get long incoming calls from my mother quite often and the 1.5 cents/minute was adding up. I was suspicious of vbuzzer as you need to download a silly messenger program in order to create an account, but I heard good things and you can't beat a $25/year DID. So I signed up.
At this price it is the same cost as my voip.ms DID was without the incoming call charges ($2/month plus 1.5cents/minute). So far the quality is great, and they have the key features I want in a DID: failover and voicemail. They also have call hunt and ring groups etc FYI. Bottom line is that you just cannot beat their pricing and they seem to be a stable enough company.
Now...Once I move back to Toronto I may have to get their unlimited outgoing Toronto local calls for $25/year as well. We'll see how much my bills with voip.ms add up to at 1/2cent/minute outgoing to Toronto and compare. Also, calls outside Toronto are not nearly as cheap with vbuzzer as with voip.ms, and it is a little annoying having to switch between providers all the time depending where you call. I'll update as I figure it out. Two thumbs up so far!
