In this small town, high speed internet options are limited to WiMax and Satellite. Both are comparable in price, but the Satellite providers I looked at had download limits. Skytex aka Rhino Communications has decent coverage in the area, and when it was first installed, it was acceptable. About three months after it was installed, however, they began having high packet loss issues (on their router) and the service frequently dropped. This Spring the service got more reliable, but the latency to the gateway router (theirs) still varies from 40ms to 600+ ms and download speeds are less than half what they started out as.

Technical support hours are not 24x7. They are only there from 9am-10pm.
