I have been a user of CallVantage for several years, but as the service is no longer available and the support is drying up; it was time for a move to a new provider.
Goal was to reduce my monthly costs from $25/month to as low as they could.
The $250 for ooma matched with a complete break-even in 10 months and then from months 11 though forever, no more VoIP charges.
Full disclosure, I opted for the 1-year of Premium for $99 instead of the one-time $39 for a number porting--porting was included with 1-year of Premium service.
The Customer Service [ooma] is having growing pains over the last month as they get more customers, and the responses are having some problems.
I am confident that they will overcome these issues.
