After five years with a VOIP provider which uses an analogue terminal adaptor, I decided I wanted to move up to a pure VOIP solution. voip.ms was shockingly easy to join and start calling within minutes. (I had one hiccup because I enrolled with the service while travelling, and their automated process noticed my IP was a different country than my home address and required manual validation).
I was relatively new to VOIP, so a lot of the configuration was new to me and it took a little fiddling to learn how to configure my IP phones, but through a combination of google and livechat tech support, I was up and running within the evening.
Now, I only pay for what I use, and any free phone in the house can make/receive calls regardless of whether or not another one is in use.
