Oceanic Time Warner is awesome!
I moved off the mainland for a new job. My old provider was Comcast. Comcast has a lot of customer service issues.
When I called to setup a new install, I was greeted with a real English speaking person. They went over the TV and Internet packages they had to offer. I did not want phone. My magic jack works great connected to a thin client for the very rare times I use the house phone. If the cable Co's could offer me Phone for $20ish a year instead of a month I would bundle. But I'm not.
Install was going to be two weeks out past my move in date. I explained that my children were enrolled in an on-line school program and was there any way they could move that up? I was told they would place me on a list and try at fit me in. A few days before our move in date Time Warner called and said they could come out the morning of our move in date. Awesome.
The installer arrived on time and hooked up the TV, DVR, and Internet. Everything provisioned properly and he was good to go.
That same evening, I had issues with the channel guides and parental controls on the DVR. I called back. Again... I spoke with a real English CSR that was really helpful and was able to resolve all my config issues.
Internet has been solid. I setup and configured my own wireless router with the modem and has been no issues. Next month I should be able to use my own Motorola SB6120 modem I brought with me. I was told they were in the process of getting their systems ready to accept customer owned modems.
The pricing is a bit higher than what I was paying on the mainland, but the customer service is what won me over.
