    I upgraded my phone to a blackberry pearl flip 8230. I use there 3G network on the phone or I tether it to my laptop. It cost 10 extra bucks but it's worth it for me. I didn't really need a wireless card and pay extra for that on top of my phone service. US cellular just upgraded to 3G in my area in August.

    The 3G network works great, I get download speeds anywhere from around 600kbs to 1000kbs. Downloads are slower around 100-200kbs. It is of course not like my cable internet but it works well.

    Works great, always works. Customer service at my local store was exceptional.

    Running into cap when watching movies online?

    Did US Cellular drop the monthly fee for tethering a smartphone to a laptop to $10? It was $15 last time I checked. They dropped the wireless card monthly fee from $59 to $49 - this is a good trend!

    Unfortunately they haven't raised the monthly cap or lowered the exorbitant price for overages.

    Are you checking to see how much you're using? I'd love to watch Netflix movies online, but can't with the cap...

    I checked it was $14 and some change to tether. Its 24.95 for blackberry service and a total of 39.95 with the tether option. I didn't do my math right.

    I have the blackberry service(personal) on my phone and internet service through that is unlimited at least in my area. This is what the sales rep and the website say. The rep did say there was a cap for the air card though, which is why I opted for the tether route. I will confirm this tomorrow, since you bought it up.
