I have he 256k DSL from USWest with VISI as the ISP. I started out with USWest as the ISP and had lots of problems. I switched to VISI, got a static IP address, and had up linux machine up and running with no problems. For support and reliability VISI has been great. If you have USWest as an ISP dump them and pay a little more for quality service from VISI.
