"Rock solid connection, consistant speeds. Even faster now!!!"
"Not near as fast as cable for the same $$"
"Only wish I had other choices for broadband service in my area."

Connection went smooth. Consistent speeds below guaranteed minimum-384kbps. In fact, I have not gotten over 360kbps. I haven't received a straight answer on this yet. Expect long wait times to speak to anyone with support! The SWBell website could be more helpful and easier to navigate. As of this date none of my postings are reaching any Newsgroups. First line tech support people are somewhat clueless. I miss Earthlink! Update 12/23/2000: I called ASI (877-asi-data) with NO wait time (it was 2am). A guy called back in an hour and I had at least DOUBLE the speeds to 750kbps!! I love ASI!!!! Why doesn't SWBell list this info with their DSL package?
UPDATE 5/02: OK, after 2 years of rock solid speeds of 1170 down and 130 up since 3/2002 my DSL speeds SUCK. Tech support with SWB is a JOKE! Repeat, a JOKE. I get better customer support when I buy a $12 book from Amazon.com than the $600/year I spend on DSL. Think twice about going with SWB!! If I had a good broadband alternative in my area I would have left SWB yesterday.
UPDATE 8/02 : OK, the kind and knowledgable techs on this forum fixed our problem here in Little Rock and now I have a rock-solid connection with download speeds of 1140+kbps. Very rare down times and low pings. The problem was corrected but without going through the regular customer support pathways with SWB. Good connection, lousy customer support!!!!!
UPDATE 4/06: Connection remains rock solid. Good speeds for what I'm paying but could always be cheaper 4800/500 down/up.
UPDATE: 6/09 Back to AT&T DSL after 2 years with Cox Cable. Good solid stable connection but cable speeds are much faster for about the same monthly price.
