    I opted for AT&T over Time Warner mainly because of price. I have the 3.0/512k package. There is some sort of problem (most likely my line) which causes intermittent service drops. As long as I have the wireless modem/router hooked up at a certain outlet in my house and make sure it isn't surrounded with power cables it's usually good to go though. I haven't had AT&T come out and do a line test yet because I'm hoping to move shortly.

    The self-install kit worked flawlessly (my wife set it up while I was at work!). No software install required, just plug the 2wire gateway in the wall and change a few items in the web configuration and it was good to go.

    I had one issue of dropped service about a month back. AT&T was prompt in having a 2nd tier tech call me back to discuss the problem.

    I use the connection mainly for basic internet surfing, but I also play FPS games on my Xbox 360 also. I've found the connection to be usable and generally isn't laggy.

    Overall, if price is an issue I would recommend AT&T internet services. I've found I had less connection issues and better ping times with Time Warner in the past but this service is good enough.
