Have a Cisco Unified Call Manager Express / Unity Express VoIP setup running on a Cisco 2811 ISR and Cisco IP Phone 7941-GE/7961 SCCP end points. Wanted to test out the SIP functionality and see how ready SIP was to replace a home phone line.

The FreePhoneLine.ca softphone leaves a little to be desired, but for $50 up front you can get the SIP profile and dump that into any SIP-based PBX.

Quality has been very good in tandem with a 5 Mbps Teksavvy ADSL2 link.

Ordering process was quick and easy, and no BS. Had a local callable DID in about 20 minutes. All in all, a great alternative to paying for overpriced POTS service.

Just make sure to use your line - it expires if not used in 60 days and your DID is released back for resale.

Config file purchases remove expiration timer

Hi SimGuy,
Only lines which have not purchased the configuration file will expire. Since you have paid the $50, you do not need to worry about this
