Dec 2012. VM dropped the MIFI price down to $19.99. also added a $5 / 3G / ~200MB daily plan. Using it as a backup in case my HSI drops.

What ticks me off is they got rid of the $20 for 300Mb plan for 30 days-now $10 for 100Mb for 10 days or $40 for unlimited for 30 days. The $20 plan was perfect for me using a netbook. Oh well, looks like I'll just use tethering now with my T-Mobile BB9700. Stupid move there, Virgin. And yes, I did voice my opinion to them.
| | | | | | | Tethering I use Windows ICS (internet connection sharing) and it works just fine. I set the VM internet tab to allow other users to use the connection, then set the correct proxy and port on the distant users. Works pretty good for me | |

| | RE: Compuguybna Hi - Corinne from Virgin Mobile here....we are very sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing -- the slower than expected speeds on the Broadband2Go plan. We should have a change in place in the next few weeks that will rectify this issue. We will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience. | |
| | | | Re: RE: Compuguybna Of course you haven't paid a dime for the service you have used judging by your posts and even when by your own admission the service is working correctly and as it should you don't update your review.
Consider the source, this poster has had multiple ISP's. At least two have terminated the service and ALL have ended up with poor reviews.

FIRST, I ****DID**** buy another device, and YES, I did buy another plan...... So, how can you say I haven't paid a dime for the service? I have $86 (device), and $40 invested in the service.....Perhaps you should have read all the threads in the forum before bashing me.....
Yes, I have had multiple ISP's. some worked, some didn't. But, just so you know, ***I*** was the one who terminated them. Hughesnet DESERVED a bad review.
So, here we go, you should read the posts before your fingers start typing bad things (especially when you dont know what you are talking about)
but you know, all this doesn't matter anymore, because I have CHARTER HSI @16mb @29.99 for 2 years! I guess if you want to follow me (almost like you're stalking me), I guess you can bash me over at the Charter forum.
Good ridance. | |

| | No price increase for existing customers. VM didn't increase the rate for customers using the $40/mo unlimited plans unless they switched plans, at which point they are unable to re-select the $40 plan. There is a 5 GB limit until your connection is throttled though. | |
