Good "value, when it works." Bad "customer service, installs." Overall "If you can afford a few extra $$, go to Bell/Rogers, if you need the speed/quota, call Start."

I've been with TekSavvy for at least a couple years. I switched my phone to TekTalk and my internet to them from Rogers to save a few dollars per month and get the higher monthly internet quota.
My internet transferred successfully from Rogers, but my TekTalk took over a month to get hooked up, and even then it wasn't reliable. I spent over 8 hours on the phone with TekSavvy and they still couldn't get it working. Their way of compensating me for all the hassle was to credit me a month's service...
I ended up cancelling my TekTalk and have had Bell for phone since then and it's been solid. I haven't had to call Bell once in two years. I kept my internet with TekSavvy because I needed the 300/GB/month.
Go look at the forums. You'll see that every post is complaining about an outage. Then look at the reviews and responses in the posts. What you'll see over and over is: - TekSavvy: "I'm sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we wait for Rogers to fix your problem." - TekSavvy fanboy: "Don't blame TekSavvy! It's Rogers' fault!"
Further warning: when it does go down you are on your own. A call to TekSavvy support means you wait on the phone for at least 45 minutes listening to staticy music from the 90s.
I promise: if you go with TekSavvy you're going to have service going down briefly every other month, and a major outage every 6 months or so.
If you are with Rogers and can afford it, I recommend you stay there. If you want to get away from the Big Boys then give Start a call. They're what TekSavvy was 4 years ago and maybe, just maybe, they'll be able to do what TekSavvy can't.

| | Review Hello Prock,
Thank you for the review. Im sorry to hear you had an issue with your TekTalk phone service, it is unfortunate that you had to cancel the service. In regards to service going down, yes residential service does have some outages and we work diligently with our vendor to have them fixed in a timely manner. Our customers also are not on their own if they are having an issue. At TekSavvy we understand there is a slight wait to have us answer on the phones this is why we have ensured there are many alternative ways to reach us. TekSavvy can be reached through Twitter, Facebook, DSLr Direct, TekSavvy Forum, and TekSavvy Chat. We have created all of these outlets to contact us to ensure all of our customers can always get in contact with us if needed. Thank you for your review.

As with most recent comments I expect a moderator to delete this one since it is not complimentary of Teksavvy.
The original reviewer is exactly correct and my experience mirrors his.

And how do you expect customers to be able to access the Internet to communicate with teksavvy using these methods if their Internet service is down?????? Especially the customers that aren't too familiar or don't want to rely on social networking! What is the holdback from hiring additional staff?
