I ordered the CABLE 60 package at $69.95 + TAX which gives 60 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up, the bandwidth limit is 150 GB / month but unlimited between 2AM - 8AM. The order and install process went very smoothly, 12 days from order to completed installation. The Rogers technician showed up on time and he wasn't too happy with my signal so he replaced a three-way splitter with a two way and boosted it which was good. I bought my own Technicolor DCM476 from here »bit.ly/teksavvy-cable-modem at a good price. I just had to buy it before ordering Teksavvy so I could put the MAC address and serial number into the Teksavvy order form. It works perfectly and the link shows up as 1 Gigabit between the MODEM and laptop I was using for testing. Overall I was surprised the service was hooked up on time and the download and upload speeds were exactly as advertised. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Teksavvy thus far but other than my initial testing right after the cable guy hooked it up I haven't been able to use it properly because we haven't actually moved into the house yet, I'm looking forward to using it in anger and seeing how it stands up to streaming and heavy usage. ============================== UPDATE: Wednesday, September 23rd 2015 ============================== I had a problem trying to upgrade from 150GB usage cap to 400GB usage cap, Teksavvy had removed my CABLE 60 plan entirely so there was no easy upgrade path. The closest path to the one I wanted was upgrading to 100Mbps @ 400GB but when I tried doing so I got an email from Teksavvy saying I would have to upgrade my MODEM to a CISCO @ $195 + DELIVERY + TAX! Given the above I complained on the forums here and discovered it was still possible to upgrade my existing 60Mbps plan to the 400GB, but the cost would be $69 / month which is the same price as 100Mbps @ 400GB, meaning I am paying the same but losing 40% speed just to avoid the cost of the MODEM. The bottom line is the new recommended MODEM is stupid expensive, I previously paid $79 for my DCM476 which is perfectly reasonable. The new MODEM also has a ton of crap I absolutely don't need or want, such as WiFi which may explain the stupid price. Why don't I want WiFi? Because I invested heavily in a high-end ASUS WiFi Router that lets me do some very cool and useful stuff like run an OpenVPN client to my VPN servers in several countries and it can also act as an OpenVPN server as well as run media drives and a whole ton of other useful things, the CISCO can't do a fraction of this. Teksavvy needs to add a cheaper MODEM ONLY device to the 100Mbps plans to remove this friction and let people have the flexibility to choose their own WiFi / Routers. I gave value for money 3/5 rating because I think bandwidth caps should go away altogether, it's 2015... unlimited internet usage should be a basic human right! member for 9.5 years, 28 visits, last login: 6.8 years ago updated 8.4 years ago
