This is a great alternative service to expensive carrier phone service and more expensive VoIPs. But don't expect the same call quality as those. Also, don't expect instant technical support if you run into problems. The forum offers good support but their technical support group is overtaxed resulting in long wait times. Can be troublesome with some routers and some ports may need to be forwarded. US number area codes are available in most states but Canadian locations spotty. Setup if all goes well is a breeze. Works with most handsets including DECT. Make sure you have at least 250K upload speed. Most issues seem to be with the new DUO Wi-Fi, DUO and DUO II are less of an issue. Incoming calls can sometimes fail due to network congestion.

All said, this is a great service for normal home use. Their international calling plans are inexpensive but call quality is sometimes an issue. Would not recommend for heavy use such as a small business.
