I have down graded my connection reliability score as I am finding data to be slow at times. I find this particularly true during noon hours and afternoon rush hour. Sometimes to the point where data is unusable due to time outs.

Things are good still. I switched to a Nexus 5 purchased direct from Google. I needed the smaller SIM. The guy at the wind store said that I could take it to the corporate run store and get a smaller one for free or for $5 he could punch a smaller card out of the one in my phone. I choose the convenience option. The first time I roamed after that the phone acted funny (wouldn't complete calls and gave an error) but a reboot fixed that. Occasionally data seems slow to respond even though I have 3+ bars. In these situations a speed test shows almost nil upload speed but decent download speed. Not sure if I should blame Wind, my phone or geography and the laws of physics on that issue.

Penny charge issues are resolved. I can now turn off roaming data from within my online account so it is now blocked server side and not phone side. The speeds are still pretty good here in London but have slowed a bit with the gaining popularity in London. There have been significantly less network expansions this year. Likely due to Wind trying to figure out what their long term plan is. I am looking forward to strengthened coverage in London (ie sometimes I lose signal in malls and grocery stores) and hopefully they will expand to the smaller towns and the roads to them that surround London.

My review is the same as below. However I would like to add I occasionally get penny charges for roaming data (even on days I don't leave the city). Unclear if it is a bug with my phone or not but when roaming the phone doesn't use the data. The Nexus S even fully updated can run a bit slow so I wonder if it sometimes is slow to turn off the data if switching to roaming.

Things have been great with my Nexus S on the Christmas Miracle plan. I'm very happy with the company and the service. 3G speeds both up and down have tested as high as 5 mbps but are usually between 1-3 during peak times. I am looking forward to them expanding the coverage area. No surprise fees except they do charge 10 cents to send / reply to short codes, to get them is free. If they fix that they will be 5/5 stars for value.

Awesome Customer Service Experience

Hello Readers,

I have been a loyal Wind Mobile Canada customer for the last 5 years and have 3 active connections. Recently I had an unpleasant experience.

There was a problem in the voice quality on my phone. The other party could not hear me and there was crackly, digital disturbance sound. I took the device to the store a few times. Every time I got a replacement SIM card but the problem continued and I went slightly over the 15 days warranty period. After a discussion with the store manager, I agreed to send my phone out for warranty repairs. I was not too convinced by the whole situation and could not figure out where my fault was since I made several visits to the store during the warranty period.

Instead of steaming out this bitter experience on social media and internet to get attention from Wind Mobile, I focused my energy to get my concern addressed. I sent out a few email. Surprisingly within 5 minutes I got an email followed by a phone call from the CEO, to resolve this issue. VP Sales and Distribution made arrangements to home deliver me a replacement device. The matter was resolved in less than an hour. The next day District Sales Manager showed up with a Nexus 6 and made my day. I know those big names and designation seem odd but the company is serious in listening to their clients, addressing genuine concern and serving them. They have won me and I will continue my relationship with Wind Mobile with renewed faith.

We do not take out time to post good experiences but always make sure to vent out on social media or internet. I am a consumer like you. Whenever I have an issue, I focus on getting a resolution and have been mostly successful. Try it out, a reasonable request will never been denied. Step into other person's shoe, they are there to help you with all the tools available.

Patience has it's sweet reward !! Try and be rewarded.

All the best on your next call to any Customer Service Rep and remember to be emphatic. Remember to post positive experience.

If there is a problem......there is always a solution.

Cheers !!

Re: Awesome Customer Service Experience

That's nice. You should write your own review. My review scores over all are positive so I'm not sure why you've posted your condescending essay as a reply to my review. I post the good and the bad. As you can see I update the review every 6 months when the system tells me to.
