I ordered the 25/10 package on FTTN. I was with Shaw Hamilton but since Rogers bought them here, our unlimited cap for $50 became a 125GB cap, simply unacceptable. I called into Rogers to cancel and they didn't even try to retain me as a customer. So off I went. Also I was looking for a home phone service as well. I work for Rogers in Sales and obviously I understand the need to go for a third party as bigger companies are horribly expensive. After searching a plethora of 3rd party providers, Teksavvy's initial startup cost was daunting to me as a student. I was getting 10/1 with Shaw/Rogers and living with roommates people upload stuff, projects, videos etc. The upload speed caused us to lag horribly whenever someone did. So far with the 10mbps upload I've noticed no lag so I believe that problem is solved. Bell tech's came by as promised day of installation, it took them some time (roughly 2 hours) to do all the work as the wiring was hard to find, but in the end everything worked perfectly. Speeds right away were at the advertised 25/10. So far, no complaints.. well.. I would like to do online banking and pay them monthly but the only way is pre-auth withdrawal or credit card.. its no big problem but a small annoyance really. So far so good, no complaints. I got my home phone service with all features and 25/10 internet for roughly $78 per month with tax. member for 9.7 years, driveby review (so far) updated 9.7 years ago |
