This of course is an updated review and my final one. I quit them. The last review was much more favourable. This review is based primarily on the happenings with the 2 wire modem/router. I obtained the new 2 wire modem/router based on line projections at on line checker and sales phone info/promo. It was faster than old platform for a day or two then not so good. It has been indicated its ISP line issues. So gave it a few more tries....but no more. They have to update the older areas. If you live in a new area maybe that is good for you. However older areas not updated you can't get the speeds and you have interleaves, disconnects, erratic speeds with the new system..well I did. The new unit can't work with old incoming ISP owned lines. Gone to Cable Extreme. There is value there! Does it cost a few dollars more ? Yes. Do I care ? No.
As far the the rating scale: tech support: Did my own mostly. install co ordination: Did it myself. they just sent new 2 wire to me. Connection reliability:Oh it will connect ! Speed? junk! Pre sales info: Lousy. If you don't know say so. Value for Money: None period!! Services: Yes they have services.

| Bell 2 Wire modem / wireless router Complete garbage! I returned my 7 year old Speed Stream modem(@ their suggestion) that gave me no problems for this crap. Wireless my eye! Tech support said the usual, your laptop, drivers, phone line ect.. finally fed up a Bell business rep suggested I use it as just a modem and reconnect my Microsoft wireless router! Works fine now. Can't wait for more High Speed ISP options so I can leave Bell! | |
