I switched to Bell Sympatico from Cogeco Cable almost 2 months ago. I switched because of Cogeco throttling bittorrent upload speeds in my city.
Anyways, although the upload/download speeds are not as fast as Cogeco, you can transfer all you want and not worry about being throttled or going over a mysterious bandwidth cap. My connection has not dropped since I got the service (nealry 2 months) and it seems rock solid. I live fairly close to the CO (about 5 blocks) and my speeds are always as advertised. I signed up for a 3 month @ $24.95 promotion and will continue with the service when the promotion is up.
I deal with Bell Business almost daily on behalf of clients and the customer service from that end is something to be desired. I am often on the line for hours at a time dealing with multiple people in multiple departments to get something straightened out. I've never really needed to use tech support so I can't comment on that too much.
update: well i wrote this review about 3 years ago and in light of the recent events with caps, throttling and slow peak time speeds i've decided to leave Sympatico for one of the cheaper DSL providers.. also canceling my ExpressVu out of spite.. say goodbye to my $130 a month Bell
