I spoke to a representative at a Bell World store named Danielle. She was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed. I signed up for the internet and within a week later I got a laptop from them. I was signed up for 24 months deal. However here is where the horror starts.
The internet was never installed until almost 3 weeks later. I kept trying to deal with their customer support Mumbay "I love My India" style and no offense or anything I couldnt understand a word they said. They were so difficult to talk to; they couldnt understand me and wouldn't help me much. I kept getting transfered between departments and escalations and ticket numbers , and still no internet connection. Then they ended up disconnecting my phone line by ACCIDENT and someone else got my number SOMEHOW. Therefore no phone , no internet. I called them over 12 times, my cell phone balance *pay as you go* kept finishing off and had to keep buying cards to deal with them. At the end , after weeks of investigation, my line was restored and my internet was fixed. They refused to give me any credit or adjustment for the time I been down because of them.
Their connection is absolutely terrible , very unreliable. It keeps cutting off. Their connection itself is slow. I was curious enough to find out what the connection speed is , so I chatted with one of the support reps. India style again, makes me wonder if Bell is going to operate in India too or something. He was somewhat helpful until I asked for the speed, he just froze , no reply nothing , after 10 minute of wait *probably asking Kirpal the supervisor about what to do* he copy pasted some bunch of BS that I didn't understand anything from *I studied IT by the way*, so he couldnt explain anything when I asked him what the hell he pasted *I am gonna paste it here later on when I go home* , he said to download a patch for a modem not related to mine AT ALL ; I asked why and he said so that I can know whats my download speed is. Come on I am not that stupid.
Now again by ACCIDENT they disconnected my phone line ; out of the blue. I cant even get it back ; they keep saying its not a technical problem but they wont tell me what is the problem. So now I am in the process of disconnecting my DSL and phone and going else where. They're just nightmare, all this because I decided to get DSL from Bell. I am going to Cogeco they're awesome. I hope Bell just closes down one day they're just horrible.

UPDATE:
Went to Cogeco and had great service with them. Unfortunately, I moved to an area where no one is available but Bell Sympatico. Again, waited 3 weeks to be connected. They charge me for downloads I haven't even made and they wouldn't tell me how that happened. My internet keeps disconnecting out of nowhere for 15 minutes at a time. I am scouting other ISPs in the area now.

Update(June 24)
Service continued to go down frequently. Kept getting representatives from India who could not understand what I am saying and I cannot understand anything from them. I got sent a new modem but it was even worse. At that point when I tried to keep getting help they ignored my requests for repair , got hung up on multiple times, and it's just horrible dealing with them. I submitted a Business business board complaint against them but they did not even reply to it nor took actions which the board was surprised about. I disconnected their services and told them to shove the bill up their $$$ and if they try to collect the bill I will take it to court.

| Re: Teksavvy not available ? teksavvy..hmmm yeah, i tried getting that in my area in West Lincoln Niagara but when we tried to get the service teksavvy was denied by bell to send me the speed that i requested. teksavvy told me that all the internt lines in the area were owned by bell and they would have to go through bell lines to give me service. bell kept flip-floping around with the speeds i could get saying that i can only get 512kb, then said 256kb, then at one point said its not available in my area? i had to drop teksavvy and crawl back to bell...which can give me 1mbps. still d/c's frequently though and still can't get anything else out here for cheaper(tried neighborhood wireless). | |
