I only got Bell cause rogers started throttling my connection and also because i was able to get unlimited contract b4 they started capping. Also if there was a problem with my lines it would be easier to get checked.
problems after ordering:
got the wrong modem and had to send it back. they put me on 3mbit profile even though my line can handle 5mbit connection. after 2 months they started charging for bandwidth when im on unlimited contract. its happened twice now, when it rains hard i get disconnected even though my SNR is high enough to keep a stable connection.

| A contract is a two way street. If BS isn't providing you with the service, you could send them a registered letter outlining the deficiencies and advising them the contract's cancelled if they're not remedied within say 30 days.

| 3 Mbps... It's not uncommon for you to get the 3 Mbps profile the first time you synched up simply because it's the default profile everyone is put on. However, they're supposed to increase it within a day or two automatically. If they didn't you can call-in and have it increased.
As for the billing piece, call and they will correct that as well.
As for the issue you experience when it rains, it sounds like you have an "open-out" on your line or your line could have been chewed on by a squirrel! Happens a lot actually...

I only posted a review now to rate their (overseas) technical support.:) Ive actually had sympatico for awhile and have already called to get problems ive listed fixed. thank you for offering help though. The only thing im working on is the problem when it rains. Im just waiting for the right time to call when its raining hard continously. | |
