I recently upgraded from High Speed Edition (5Mb) to Total Internet Performance (7Mb). But after more than a week, they did not upgrade my DSL profile. So I contacted Sympatico yesterday and they have sent a technician to fix my DSL profile. And a technician from their "test center" called me and told me the problem has been fixed. However, I just did a speed test and the speed instead of being raised, it has been LOWERED! I previously got 4300Kb/580Kb and after the profile correction yesterday, the connection is now 3450Kb/580Kb.
Contacted tech support again, and they basically told me call them again next week.
What kind of absolute idiots are operating their service? Don't they understand that I switched to the 7Mb service to get better speeds (not worse speeds). I should have cancelled directly after my HSE term and go with Acanac. Now I am stuck with this useless service for another 12 months.
Anyone experienced this sort of situation? What do you suggest me to do now?
