    I have used Sympatico since High Speed was available. I was a very very happy customer for the majority of the time. However, in the recent months I have become very dissatisfied with the way Sympatico is conducting their business. They have started to throttle their service without warning to the customers. They have also added caps to previously unlimited accounts. They have attempted to trick customers that were on a unlimited account into a new contract which is not unlimited. Also I am not happy that they seem to have no interesting in improving the quality of their service. I would recommend DSL over cable every day of the week but I would suggest not using Sympatico as your provider.

    Another fun thing with Sympatico is that when you call Tech Support your forwarded to a call center in India. From here they will read you what their screen tells them. Even if you already have identified the issue you will have to follow along with the agent.

    As a side note my father had Sympatico ultra service at a location that was not capable of those speeds yet Sympatico continued to charge him for the ultra service until he called in.
