I have been a bell customer most of my life and I loved them every step of the way that's why I was willing to pay $100 for 16mb/s internet with unlimited bandwidth when I moved into my new home, it was a decent deal and it suited my needs very well.
The moment I got the service I realized it was capped at 4mb/s I contacted them and they said there was a problem with the line profile and it had been fixed. I was happy it was fixed I had a tested speed of about 14mb/s it was great until...
a month later I got capped at 8mb/s I Contacted them and after arguing with them for hours and providing data proving I was being suppressed they apologized and "found the problem". I was unhappy but glad it was back to about 13mb/s tested.
... 2 month later, the same cap reappears after arguing for 9 days with many different people I was able to get help from a MOD on the bell forums who was nice enough to get to the bottom of the problem because everyone else refused to do anything. I am grateful to him for that and would have liked if tech or customer support was that helpful.
Now for the past couple weeks I have been getting the same cap and I have been trying to fix it but nothing work no one will help me. The support lines refused to help me and keep flipping me back and forth to each other. I truly believe outsourcing is the problem in this case. I had a nice long chat with a very unhelpful support guy from who knows where that could hardly understand me and kept asking the same questions over and over again and refused to help me and kept referring me to a phone number (which I cant call because I have no phone at this house where the computer is at) and I need to be at my PC when I Call. I can truly say I hate you Mr. "Avijit (SCI-274227)". I know he can fix the problem because the problem was fixed 3 times before through the very same chat.
After all of this and bells unwavering support of their bad customer and tech service I am unhappy to say I will be switching to another service provider, I am not going to say which because this is not and AD this is one mans horrible experience with a screwed up ISP who used to be so great.
I am willing to take the speed reduction switching to another company then to have to continue dealing with bell.
