    My Other Reviews·TekSavvy Solutions..
Ok... I've left blank some of the "worst to best" evaluations as I have had my DSL with Sympatico since they activated service here - somewhere around 2000 if I remember correctly. So, I can't remember the Pre-Sales. Home installation I did myself but I remember that the modem arrived when they said it would arrive and it worked when I plugged it in. Connection reliabilty has been very good - I've only had two outages and one was due to a storm that cause several lines in the neighbourhood to short together. Tech support? What's that? I have never used it - I do my own tech support, and as mentioned, connection has been very good, so no tech support needed there.

Services: I have been very annoyed and unimpressed ever since they associated with Microsoft for email and web and whatever else services. Surely Bell as a content provider (they own newspapers and tv channels!!!!) could do their own portal instead of farming it out to an "AMERICAN" company? Come on... Bell, you're supposed to be Canadian. Or do you already think Canada is a part of the USA? Blech to you Bell.

And value for money? Originally, yes. Not anymore. Bell keeps jacking up the prices with no tangible OR intangible benefits or improvements. However, it does seem that as prices keep rising, quality of experience keeps going down. The latest example being the throttling which slows down everything - bit torrents, voip, vpn, and even normal http.

Bell. I am not impressed. And I doubt that this will change in the future. It's time that you started trying to make your customers happy again, otherwise you will one day find that you have priced yourself out of the market and out of customers.

    2008-10-13 New Review

OK... Just for the records, I no longer subscribe to Bell Internet or Bell Phone, or Bell anything. Reason is that I no longer live in Bell country - I have moved from Ontario to British Columbia.

However, unlike many other horror stories from people trying to cancel their Bell services, my cancellations were smooth, probably because I was moving out of Bell territory (sorry Bell, even if my assumption is wrong, your (service staff) reputation is on front of you all the time now!).

Bell, I had very good service reliability from you. However, I repeat what I said before. You kept on putting up your prices for both phone AND internet and there was no perceived tangible OR intangible benefits received for that price increase. Instead, what we got was a definite lessening of service from you.

    Goodbye Bell.

Well at least you won't get ripped off by this automobile insurance scam they run in Ontario. Here's to paying 500 bucks a year instead of 3,000.
