I've had the 5mbps connection for a while now, it use to be 3mbps when I first got it. Their connection reliability is very good, I can count on one hand the number of times it's been down since 2001.
BUT their technical support is horrible and the last time I got a contract with them they increased the price the first month into the contract. You can't trust a single person from sympatico to not screw up your account.
One problem I had was that they changed my account from unlimited to 60gb cap without notifying me, I called technical support and they told me I was on unlimited when the bell website clearly said 60gb cap and I got charged for going over the cap that month. Thankfully deadpool from the forum here got my account back to unlimited.
(just a note I usually use about 20GB - 160GB per month, usually I average about 60GB)
I'm now leaving sympatico for teksavvy since the whole throttling issue started. I know teksavvy is also throttled by bell but lets hope the CRTC can one day (hopefully when I'm not an old old man) stop bell's throttling of 3'rd party ISPs.
