My Other Reviews

·Verizon FiOS
After the switch from 2mb/384k to 3mb/384k, my connection went to hell. I couldn't get online to game, and the registered packetloss was interminable. I decided in the end that a stable 1.5mb/768k connection through DSL would be better than a 3mb/384k, and thus far my theory has proved correct.

Roadrunner needs to improve their QOS before I even consider going back to them. Their tech support was also completely incompetant. There is no reason why I should know more about the connection and connection quality than them.

Unfortunately it seems that the connection quality after the upgrade was not limited to my home. Some friends of mine in Manhattan have experienced the same problems.

3-18-2005 Update: To the person who responded below in 2004, I pay $49.15 for my 4mb/768k connection from Speakeasy.

That was my speedtest from a few minutes ago. I have my doubts that I will ever set foot in the Cable world again. After DSL it's Fiber. And my review still hasn't changed regarding Timewarner. My friends in Manhattan switched back to DSL only a few months ago because of those issues. But hey, to each his own.
