Cox upgraded to 12/1 in my area. I am topping out at 16.6 on a speed test, but 20 down when downloading files. I get 3-5 up. One speed test said 24 down. It's not FIOS, but DSL isn't close. 2x fastest DSL speed. The 6/768 plan is rarely available here so about 4x DSL on average. The upload is actually faster than my prior DSL's download. Gee, now that's fast.
The only down things I've seen lately is webmail. I use GMAIL and it never is out. Using OUTLOOK to download emails from Cox never fails.

Only one outage since I've had it. Fixed during the wee hours of the morning. Tech support tells you the truth. Never been bothered by caps on bandwidth or anything. Get about 2000 kbps down when downloading 4-5 things at once. Upload way over 1 mg. Speed test from Florida to SF, CA gives 8/1 speeds. Cox is about to upgrade to 15/2 for same price by end of year I've been told.

Excellent! After BellSouth DSL could not provide service (11,952 ft from CO), I switched back. It was provisioned in less than 1 minute.

Still extremely impressed! I get consistent 12-17/3 mbps speed! I actually download too fast sometimes??? Guess I shouldn't compare to, ughh, BellSouth's slow, slow "Extreme" so much.

Consistent 4000-4500/500 speed on their 4 mg plan for $39.95. I still have Bell for the month so I will test them against each other. So far, Cox is better where I am. I'll update in a few weeks and tell you if Cox stays or not. If it does, goodbye Bell DSL and phone line. So far, really impressed.

Never had to call tech support once for a problem (just at first to see how to connect my laptop--just unplug modem then replug in). Getting more than 9 down and a little more than 1 up. Sometimes get 17.5 down at night. Steady as she goes. Cox Rocks!
