I ordered Sunrocket mainly based on the price and some good advertising. I've had it installed now for almost two months without too many problems. There were some issues at the beginning with getting my home number transferred, but only took a few emails to get resolved. Since then I haven't had too many problems until the last few weeks when I installed a new wireless router. I've tried several different combinations, but am still getting dropped calls and choppy voice. I'm sure it probably has something to do with my new router (Belking Pre-N which is supposed to be ideal for VoIP), but neither Sunrocket, Comcast Cable, or Belkin has been able to tell me exactly what the problem is, and have told me to contact the other company.

Overall, I'm still happy - saving $45 per month since I dropped Verizon!! So, I'm more than willing to put up with a few headaches here at the beginning. It does need to get fixed soon though...

9/13/05 update: I've downgraded the reliability section of my review due to the recent outages...but I will continue to monitor this review and update again in the future. I also upgraded the call quality section because I have noticed a better quality of service lately. My QoS problems have resolved themselves over the last few weeks, so I'm happy to say that my new router is working correctly with the SR service.

Again, overall, I'm still happy with the service (based on savings)...the outages didn't affect me too much. It is a pain, but my opinion is that it will get better. We will see.

1/3/06 update: I've upgraded the reliability section of my review because I have had very few problems over the past 4 months. SR really had some issues, but have sinced resolved just about all of them. I haven't had one glitch in quite some time...so, it really has gotten much better...and I'm very happy with the service for the amount of money I'm paying.

6/27/06 update: I've decided to update my review because I have now been with SunRocket for over a year, and I just signed up for an additional 2 years for the great price of $199 - that's around $8/month! You just can't beat that. Yes, there are occasional problems...but no show stoppers in my book. There have been about 3 times in the last year that I would get call drops, but they always resolved themselves after a few days - still not sure who the culprit is on that one. Overall, I'm very happy with SunRocket - and as long as the price stays the same or drops, I'll be a customer.

10/18/07 update: Since SR went out of business I have received a charge-back on my credit card for the time remaining on my contract - no harm done. I'm with TB now and it is workin OK, but I'm having some problems.

6/11/08 update: Well - I've been with TB now for 9 months and I have to say its been great. I've had less problems that with SR, and although the monthly fees are higher, they are still about the best out there at $15/month for the service I get. There are outages every now and then, but really pretty minimal - the only complaint I really have is that the system rarely recovers after a power outage. I'll keep paying them as long as the service stays the same!

I've been updating my SR review with my Teleblend info (you'll see the edits there). Now that I can create a new TB review I'll do that...
