Coming from Blazing Cables speeds, I was surprised to see that DSL wasn't too bad for just the typical surfing and data transfers I need. Not a gamer or a power downloader so regular DSL is fine.
However, we've been with them for nearly 5 years now. It's the ONLY game in town for DSL unless we actually want to pay more to another company who then just rents it from Verizon.
In the past year, I wasted many (wo)man hours attempting to help Verizon fix problems at their own CO. It appears that you can no longer get "real" support without purchasing an additional "premium support" package. The only support offered "free" now is through their outsourced techs which can only test to see if the DSL line is up.
This lack of support is just the pits. End users shouldn't have to jump through hoops to point out physical hardware shortcomings at the CO.
If I had a choice, I'd be shopping around. Sadly, its not an option.
