    I've had good solid service from Verizon Online DSL for about 18 months. The 3 meg down by 768K up has been terrific with little down time. The tech support is lacking but that seems to be the theme of all ISP's these days.

    My mistake was in trying to convert from wet loop to dry loop. My advice to everyone is to install a new dry loop and then disconnect the old one once you port your phone number. I suppose they will one day perfect the process but they are not there yet.

    Bait & switch

    Verizon runs a classic bait & switch. After 14 months at 3Mbps, my connect was dropped to 768 Kbps and their representatives "swore" I could never have gotten faster speeds.
    Now I'm desperate for something over 2 Mbps in order to sign up for VUDU.
