Let me start by saying that I have tried every ISP that has come to this town. I started with Verizon DSL 1.5/128 (maybe it was 512 or 768? cant remember) a few years ago, then I jumped on board with Adelphia HSI 4mb/768k after I had ordered Digital Cable, the Adelphia was fairly smooth until Time Warner came and took over, I noticed very choppy speeds, constant re-routes so I droppped them and gave our local WiFi a try, that worked fairly well for a couple weeks until I stopped getting a reliable signal then I decided to go back to Verizon. I started cheap with the $15/mo 786/128 plan, got sick and tired of that after about a week and upped my service to the 3m/768k. I am still under contract due to the previous $15/mo plan but that doesn't bother me. I get fairly good ping times 30ms to DSLr, and my downloads from a good server average about 350KBytes/sec which isnt bad either. My only gripe is the upload speed, 768kbits is not enough, how are we the people, the so called "producers of the internet" supposed to produce anything if we cant send?
I gave pre-sales information a 3 out of 5 because I didnt really ask them anything, I called and told them I wanted the service
Install Co-ordination I give a 5, service was ready 2 days prior to ETA and when I upgraded that was complete within in the hour, which I am still very impressed.
Connection reliability I give a 5, I have never been without internet for as long as I have had Verizon DSL.
Tech Support, I give a 3, I have never called them.
Services I give 4, not a 5 because of my upload. Sort of a pet peeve
Value for money I give a 4, sometimes things are just a little over-priced.
