    My main problem with this was getting Verizon to admit that I qualified for DSL, this took like 3 weeks and several calls but I got it done finally. I then ordered the service and within 5 days had the equipment, a Westell 6100 modem (I already have a router so I chose to not get the free DSL router from Verizon). My service ready date was another week out but I chose to install all the stuff hoping that it would be sooner. About 3 days later my modem synched and I set up my account with no problems, 3 days before my Service Ready Date!! Once I got the service running I switched the DSL Modem into bridge mode and used my Linksys router to do the PPPOE Authentication to avoid Double NAT as this messed up some of my apps I use. This worked like a charm and I have been up and running ever since. I am an online gamer and find that my latency is lower and very stable with Verizon as opposed to my previous Cable Service. I think I have had one outage since I have had the service (6 months) and it lasted for about 5 minutes.

    I had Adelphia Cable before I got DSL and the reason I switched was because I was sick of paying $50/month for internet. The Adelphia service was faster but my 3 meg DSL is perfect for what I do.

    Very happy with service!! Have not had one outage since last review! Consistant speeds of 3/768. Still using Westell 6100 modem in bridge mode with linksys router. Now if only I could get a decent price on unlimited LD with Verizon I would be really happy!
