    I lived in California for about 5 years and got very used to unreliable cable service provided by a company i hope i never have to deal with again. I moved up here to Sandpoint and started looking right away for HSI because im an avid gamer and spend alot of time online.

    I considered going with Cable here and almost had it installed until I hit a snag with pricing. The website quoted me 60 a month with no mention of needing to have their services to get that price, the operator quoted me 89 a month because I was not a customer. I said to hell with that and contacted Verizon because I already have Phone through them and knew they had DSL in my area. I placed my order on a Saturday via their online ordering form and was told the modem/router would be sent with in seven working days. This proved to be the only snag in the pre-install steps. The modem took 14 days to get here and one automated service call later.

    Install went great, the service was turned on at 9am instead of 6pm as listed so i was rather happy to get back to gaming. The Install snag came when I tried to set up the wireless connections through the westell router. The install kit and the welcome email both lacked the logon/password for the Admin access. I had to call techsupport which was NOT a fun experiance. The tech was rather rude and barely spoke english so after he couldn't solve my problem i went another route. I contacted Online support who had the problem fixed in under 5 minutes and with perfect english.

    So here i am, saving quite a bit of cash by NOT going with cable (which offered the same 3 megs down but only 300 some odd kbps upload) and the service so far is great. Ive had NO downtime, very few speed drops (the lowest was 2.1 megs) and 100% uptime. All in All i recommend it at this point in time.
