    I went with VZ Online Business DSL because I required a static IP at the time. There were no other affordable solutions in my area at the time (having considered Charter and SpeakEasy). I upgraded from Residential DSL to business and outside of the PVC change on VZ's side, the process was simple and painless. I got the 3mb/768k speed package and have been more or less satisfied with it. It came with a Westell 2200 DSL modem which was standard at the time. I can't remember any cases where I did not have my full upload or download bandwidth available to me whenever I needed it.

    The only negative experiences came with the 3 or 4 services outages that I experienced over the course of two years. In each case, the fault was attributed to a wiring problem in the SLIC that serves my neighborhood. Tech support is well-mannered, but unhelpful when dealing with these kinds of outages. The turn around time in all cases was more than 24 hours.
