    I ordered the 768kb DSL package with a Westell 6100 modem.
    The package arrived in a timely fashion.
    The installation went fairly well.
    The contract was for 1 year at $17.99 per month.
    The service for the entire year was sub par.
    There were too many unexplained DSL outages.
    The quality of my voice service degraded when I added the DSL service - Verizon could not find any related problems (3 tech visits and he said everything was OK).
    After I canceled my DSL service, my voice quality returned to its original level.
    Tech support is horrible. The reps act like robots and don't speak English too well.
    Same for the sales reps. They are uneducated on current pricing and are difficult to understand. They will also push FIOS down your throat every time you call.
    I worked for Bell of PA/Bell Atlantic/Verizon for over 35 years and I remember what it meant to provide a quality product and premium customer service.
    Well hello Comcast!
