I am dumping Verizon DSL. I have talked to four representatives from Verizon in the past two weeks that have told me I can get the 3 Meg. speed upgrade. Each time, I am transferred to billing to put the order through, and each time I told that I am not eligible for anything faster. Why am I not eligible for it?? They have no idea. I have called tech. support and they have run lines test and told me I am eligible for an upgrade. The tech. support people have conference called billing with me on the line and billing will not order the upgrade because I'm not eligible. Tech. support asks billing to run a line test and all is good, but they cannot place the order. Tech. support rep. is flabbergasted to say the least. Tech. support has told me that there isn't any reason you can't have the package, but billing says that they can't place the order due to their database.
I am done. Time Warner/roadrunner will be here on 2-26-09 to install roadrunner. I will be getting the standard package for $29.95 a month for 10 meg. down & 1 meg. up speed. I will also be getting vonage and dumping everything Verizon.
