Under normal circumstances this review would never have been made. However, my experience with Verizon has been anything but normal.

Three days into my contract with Verizon I lost connection to the network. Contacting Tech support seemed the only thing to do.

The very first request made by the Tech Support person was to ask me to dis-able my firewall. I understood his need for making such a request but was not willing to comply. The Tech Support person assured me that my computer would not actually be connected to the internet but instead to Verizon local network. well that was an alert to me to be very careful. Here was a guy lieing to me and I wanted to see just how far he would go. So I dis-abled the Firewall and gave him three minutes to roan inside the computer. Within one minute I broke the connection. To keep this as short as possible I will simply say that the Tech Support person was hacking the computer. After hanging up the phone on the guy I discovered that he had changed numerous setting plus has Locked the Task Manager so as I could not access the Properties of My Computer to re-able certain settings.

Having some experience with computers it did not take long to to bypass the dirty work of the Tech Support and re-able what the Tech Support had dis-abled. The guy had enabled Remote Access to my computer and deleted the Firewall Rules. The computer was totally without protection when connected to the internet. At 12 p.m. I file a complaint with Verizon regarding the Tech Support person. At 1:15 a.m. in the morning I received a phone call from the guy"s supervisor.......1:15 a.m. when I was asleep. However, advising the Supervisor of the Tech Support person's actions and further that I had located and re-moved a Trojan implanted by the Tech Support person. The Supervisor advised me that the Trojan was only a "tool" Verizon uses.......a TOOL !! Yeah right.

As time passed I have since discovered......"MOTIVE" which is associated with "PORTAL" located in the computer registry. There as bold as all get out was my full name and phone number. So, if the computer was sold or given away or disgarded.....that information would remain in the Registry.

In a nutshell.......Verizon Tech Support is very much lacking in every respect and before ever dealing with Verizon Tech Support again at anytime in the future I would drop my contract with Verizon even if it would cost me financially.

My personal information being implanted into the Registry by Verizon certainly could be considered a serious security Breach.

Same exact thing happened to me

I had been losing connection so the woman who I talked to said all this stuff so she said for me to go to this website and type in her Verizon rep number so I did and then she gained control of my computer. This was after Norton had crashed on me and permanently destroyed my f'g hard drive. IT IS VERIZON'S Norton's Antivirus software not the actual software..found out the hard way. So I placed down a new image on my computer and had connection problems with slow to no connection so she went on my computer and "tried" to help me instead no help all but UPWARDS OF 150 TROJAN VIRUSES on my new hard drive from her being on my computer AND SHE F'D UP MY Westell 6100 modem so today I had to get a new one. Verizon said its a "procedure" they need to file in order to get their job done...Yeah **** up my computer to the point I had to manually reconfigure everything she had destroyed. It came to a point where I just decided to put down another image and since then, I have not allowed Verizon to connect to my machine. If they tell me they want to access my machine .. I tell them "I rather talk to another ISP directly human to human than have someone who doesn't know how to do their job right." She destroyed a 160GB Hard Drive that is beyond repair or replacement. Not even a disk sweeper like G-Disk or F-Disk will work. Verizon refused to give me money back at all since they said it was my fault.
