I got this 7.1 Mb / 768 KB svc years ago for my business Mail Server & 10 user web access years ago when it was only offered a few places in the whole country. It worked well for a while (2+ years)--- but then my bandwidth/through-put started sporadically droping off to 25-50% of normal. I found a fairly consitent pattern to the drop off in that it started about 9:30AM every day and lasted until about 4:30pm. After replacing all my internal wiring, dsl modem, 20+ hours on the phone, and half a dozen site visits by the verizon tech ---there was no improvement. The worst problem was that wading thru those stupid automated support lines to reach a LIVE person--- who force me to reboot my EVERY piece of equipment I have for the 100th time---- and then would inverably say-- "we dont see any problems here"..."its a dedicated line---nothing could be sucking up your bandwidth"....blah blah blah. Verizon support service just STINKS-- they are just so big that filing a complaint is a workout in itself -- and probably meaniless to them anyway. (I've had the same problems with FIOS support at home). Can you spell MONOPOLY? Anyway, I finally gave up and got Comcast Internet service and a Dual WAN router so I could spill over my traffic when bandwidth was low.. The comcast service/speed and support are marginally better.--- but more reliable. I see verizon is now rolling out 7.1 service everywhere.--- I hope others have better luck with it than I have.
