    Was promised 7.1Mbps 2 times and now I am told I can only get 3Mbps. Being billed for a new jack install even though it's new service (which I am not paying).

    Verizon will charge you an activation fee and for the modem. If you have no other choice than DSL is acceptable. Verizon customer service are a bunch of liars who will promise anything and then reneg. once service is installed.

    Monthly cost is for service only with no taxes. Haven't received 1st bill yet.
