Vz DSL is the only terrestrial broadband service available to me so, I have no option of what ISP to use. I received a Westell 327w DSL modem and several filters by UPS. The package I ordered was 3Mbps/768 Kbps and tests seem to be acceptable. All in all, I have to say that I'm satisfied with the technical aspects of the service.
However, I am still intensely irate w/Vz for pulling 95% of Usenet or about one third of my total service w/o some sort of billing adjustment. I can only blame government and public ignorance for allowing this financial windfall to benefit Vz., as well as the other ISPs who collectively pulled the wool over the public's eyes.
