Good customer service
Service is spotty and they don't do much about it if you live in a poor area
Verizon can be good or bad depending on where you live and what services are offered in your area.

I've had Verizon Online DSL for over 10 years and I've always had no problems with my connection being slower than advertised. Now the speed isn't very fast but they clearly advertise what kinds of speeds you'll be receiving and for what price, and then you get what you pay for. Any issues I've ever had have been promptly corrected with a week after reporting it via their customer service number. Their DSL specifically seems to drop quite a bit if where you're living in is an older place and and inside wiring hasn't been replaced in a long time, making it susceptible to weather condition problems. Overall the customer service has always been great but I've had some hiccups with the service in general here and there. Overall I think the speeds offered in general by internet companies is a joke for what they charge but that's the state of things in the U.S. Verizon at least is very helpful for you to get the most of their overpriced service. I'm happy paying the premium price as long as the service works.
