I switched from Charter Cable High Speed to Bellsouth DSL and have never looked back. The connection has been very reliable and fast. The few times that I have had to contact tech support, the tech was pleasant and easy to work with. I originally went with the 3MB DSL and I was very happy with it. After just a few months, they even dropped the price a few dollars. When 6MB became available, I was financially unable to upgrade, but as soon as I was able, I did upgrade and have been very pleased with the service. I'll be sticking with Bellsouth for a long time to come.
Update: 05-22-2007:
I'm still doing well with Bellsouth/AT&T DSL 6.0. The only problem that I have had is when a filter crapped out. Figured out which one it was (I've got six) and no more problems. The Westell 2200 modem has been rock solid. No problems at all with it.
A lot of people talk about problems with the email system. I admit that there are some problems, but if email is important to you, you want to use a dedicated mail hosting site, anyway.

As an update....
Two years later I still feel the same. No problems with AT&T (Bellsouth) DSL. I would recommend it to anyone that asks.
