Placed an on-line order and since I had a pre-wired connection as soon as the account was setup I was on-line. Maybe two minutes from order to hot.
The service is IFITL aka. Ethernet over fiber which requires a four wire connection to the home however since the previous owner already had the service a normally required pro-install was not needed and later cancelled.
The only problem I had was getting a router to work. My laptop would link to the card in the ONU and I could surf but when I connected the router a Linksys WRT54 it refused to link. Changing to a Linksys BEFSR81 solved that and since then the connection has been rock solid.
The service is Ultra 1.5/256 but the connection is always slightly higher normally running about 1.8/256.
Last Result: Download Speed: 1881 kbps (235.1 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 252 kbps (31.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
