    My Other Reviews·Dish Network
10-27-07-I ordered FastAcess DSL Lite for 19.99 last Wednesday and everything went smooth. My self-install kit is supposed arrive next Tuesday.
Yesterday, a technician from Bellsouth came to my house to check my NID, he mentioned some of my lines were not ok etc etc. So he fix them, and now my dialup service is much faster than it was before.
Today, I had a chance to test my neighbor's dsl service and speeds were amazing.

    Bottom Line: Bellsouth rocks!!

10-29- The modem came just in time. The installation was very easy.
But I don't know why, but my speeds are 200kbps downstream and 148kbps upstream. I will look into fixing this problem. Wll keep you updated!

10-31-07. I finally fixed the problem with my slow speeds. The alarm system on my house was actually interfering with the DSL line. Thanks godness!!! Now Im getting speeds of 650kbps downstream, 106kbps upstream considering my distance from the CO which is ~15,000 ft. This is what I expected from FastAccess DSL!!!

3-7-08 My DSL connection is very stable right now. But Im pissed off because I just found out I can't get DSL Extreme. My old neighborhood can and it's very old. I live on a 10 year old neighborhood now. Back when I was at my old neighborhood (it was a trailer park at Whitten Rd @ Memphis TN) I remember seeing a big white box near the entrance. I just found out it was a DSLAM!!!
One family member signed up for Fastaccess DSL Extreme 6.0 and he keeps telling me
how he gets speeds of up to 7mbps and how fast everything downloads. I can't believe how a very old neighborhood (approx. 35 years old) can get Extreme 6.0, i mean the copper wires should be oxidated by now. My new neighborhood is served by a cheap attempt to fiber optics, that's why I can't get higher than 1.5mbps.
