I dropped Time Warner Cable due to steady internet disruption. I called into tech support locally and got transferred to Canada at the National Help Desk. Why? I have no idea. TWC level1 tech support kept telling me that it was my house and would have to wait a at least 3 weeks for a tech to come out because they are backed up. Had 3 other neighbors that had internet issues the same time mine went down and explained this to TWC.
Called up AT&T and asked for dry dsl and was told all I could get was the Pro package. I am paying for pro package but was receiving express speeds. Called up tech support and told them about it and they bumped up my speed. I asked the same tech support why I am not able to get the elite package and he said according to his records and my modems ( 2Wire / 2701HG-B ) info that I could get the elite package. He put me on hold and contacted sales and told them I could be upgraded. I upgraded and will now pay $38.99 + taxes because Texas charges taxes on internet access. Kudos to the tech that assisted me. The call center was in the St. Louis area. Will update in the future once my speeds are upgraded again.
